This is Xiangyu Shi. I am a second-year Ph.D. candidate in Computer Engineering at Northwestern University (NU) starting in Fall 2024, advised by Prof. Qi Zhu. Prior to Northwestern, I obtained my B.E. from Zhejiang University (ZJU) in July 2024.
My research interests broadly lie in foundation models (including LLMs and VLMs) for embodied agents and cyber-physical systems (CPS), with emphasis on safety evaluation, CAD/CAM automation, formal verification, and reinforcement learning for real-world deployment.
💼 I am currently seeking research internships for Summer 2026, with a focus on foundation models (including LLMs and VLMs) for embodied agents and interactive systems. Feel free to reach out if there is a potential fit.
